An all time high was reached in war-time college acceleration with the announcement Wednesday from Dartmouth that an intensive semester would be offered between May 10 and June 26. This was largely intended to give credit to men who expected to be taken in July.
The present spring semester at Dartmouth will end April 27, and the next regular semester will not begin until July 1. The seven week voluntary course will run in the interim. The selection of courses will be strictly limited, and each student will take three courses. Classes, at which attendance will be compulsory, will meet five times a week from Monday through Friday and social activities will be greatly curtailed.
