DOZEN STARTS FOR NINE; MEET RED SOX APRIL 15

The Crimson baseball squad cracks the big leagues this year when it plays a game with the Boston Red Sox April 15 at Fenway Park, according to the new, revised 12-game schedule announced yesterday by Carroll F. Getchell, Business Manager of the H. A. A.

The contest with last year's second place team in the American league is the Crimson's only engagement with a major league club this spring. In previous years, there was always a home and home series with Yale, but this season there will be only one tilt with the Elis, to be played at New Haven on May 1.

Joint Announcement

The new schedule was made necessary following the joint announcement of Harvard, Yale, and Princeton that beginning with April 1, only informal games with nearby colleges and service camps would be played.

The nine has been practicing in Briggs Cage since the third week in February, and ought to go outside in about another two weeks. Recently reduced to 38 men, the squad will probably undergo another cut before hostilities commence.
