LACROSSE TEAM TRAMPLES MIT BUT LOSES TO NEW HAMPSHIRE

A 9 to 5 victory by the University of New Hampshire's lacrosse team stopped the Crimson's two game winning streak Monday. The stickmen will travel to Tufts this afternoon where they will play their second game with the Jumbos.

After swamping a Tech ten Friday by a 12 to 2 score, the lacrossemen voyaged to Lewis Field, New Hampshire to challenge the Wildcats. Opening with a Harvard score by Jay Hurley, the game was unpredictable until the Blue and White tallied three successive goals at the beginning of the second half. Fourth quarter markers by Dave Thompson and George Angle of the Crimson did not prevent the Wildcats from holding their lead. New Hampshire's attack was sparked by their center, Parker, who netted twice and was credited for three assists.

The Hanford ten crumpled a M.I.T. team last Friday when attackmen Dink Donahue worked his stick into producing four goals. George Angle's three tallies were closely followed by Jay Hurley's two.
