Stretching its winning streak to five victories, the tennis team journeyed to Exeter on Saturday to defeat the prep school by a score of 6 to 1. The Crimson took all of its matches except a close one dropped by Charley Greenspan to Doyle.
The playing was greatly complicated by a stiff breeze that kept up all afternoon, making it difficult for the participants to gauge their shots accurately. Although nine matches were originally scheduled, it was impossible to play off the last two because of the lack of time.
The best game of the afternoon was taken by Teddy Bullard from the Red and Gray's Dougherty. Although Bullard won the first set, the second one was nabbed by Dougherty, while in the finale Bullard managed to come up from behind for a 10-8 victory. The other Crimson netmen appearing in the win column were Don Daniels, Jack Lynch, Mal Moley, and Johnny Zinnser.
