A strong wind prevented them from recording good times, but still the Crimson trackmen succeeded in scoring a 71 to 55 triumph in a meet at Exeter Saturday. Despite its good showing, the Red and Gray was handicapped by the absence of co-captain Bob Gill, high jumper and hurdler.
Co-captain Dick Hall was on hand, however, and managed to take the mile run in 4:50.6. For the Mikkolamen, Don MacKinnon won both the 100 and 220 yard high hurdles, while Paul Laskin and Wade Johnson alternated in taking first and second places in the 100 and 220 yard dashes.
Willo Fisher, IC4A hammer throw champion, wrapped up that event with a heave of 155 feet but was beaten by Exeter's Lovell in the discus throw.
