300 CHAPLAINS FINISH COURSE

Lieut.-Col. Deibert Delivers Address in Sanders Theatre

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Approximately 300 officers said goodbye to the Chaplain School Wednesday at graduation exercises which included a review by Chaplain (Colonel) William D. Cleary, the Commandant of the school, and his staff. Chaplain (Captain) J. C. Ryan offered the invocation, Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) Ralph C. Deibert, the Assistant Commandant, delivered the graduation address, and Chaplain (Captain) Leland B. Henry closed the ceremonies with the benediction.

Chaplain (Colonel) Cleary and his staff received the review on Andover Field while the 241st Coast Artillery Band furnished the music. After the review the Student Chaplains paraded down Divinity Avenue to Sanders Theatre, where the graduating chaplains usually hold their graduation exercises.

In his graduation address, Chaplain Deibert drew from his wide experience in army life to give a parting word of advice and encouragement to the men who are to be immediately dispersed to their assignments with the armed forces. After the address the 16 section leaders were called up by Chaplain Cleary to receive the diplomas for their individual groups.

Chaplain Henry closed the brief but impressive ceremonies with the benediction.
