VARGA, FAMOUS ARTIST TO PICK QUEEN OF NAVY

Will Judge Photos of Supply School Wives

Varga, "Esquire's" staff artist, will make the final decision as to who shall reign as Sweetheart of the Navy Supply Corps, yearbook editors at the Supply Corps School announced today.

In a telegram to the yaerbook's manager, Varga stated that he would be glad to take part in the judging, and expressed his gratitude at being chosen in that role.

The creator of the well-known "Varga Girl" will make his decision on the basis of photographs of Navy wives and sweethearts submitted by officers of each the six companies now midway through their "ready for sea" training at the Supply Corps School.

Company F officers, submitting 19 photographs as entries in the contest leads all other companies. Company H, entering 13 candidates, is runner-up among the competitors. Company representatives helping conduct the contest include Ensigns Alden Wells, Jack-Condon, David G. Hall, George K. Trimpe Paul Deibels, and James Cunningham.
