Outclassed in every department by a powerful Brown College quintet, Coach Floyd Stahl's charges went down to their eleventh defeat, 59 to 32, on the victor's court, Wednesday night. The Jayvees, seeking their seventh win of the campaign, also bowed before the Brown on-slaught by 65 to 43.
With three Crimson regulars forced out of action by illness and injuries, it was a completely revamped lineup that Coach Stahl selected to face Brown. Bill Jenkins, his choice to fill in for Captain Mike Keene at center, carried off the losers' scoring honors for the evening with 17 points, the husky pivot man making seven of his 14 foul tries.
Bach Sparks Brown Attack
Johnny Bach, the tall center who was the driving force in Brown's victory over the Crimson earlier in January, again led the Brown sharpshooters. Compiling the same total as in the first engagement, Bach scored ten field goals for 20 points. Leading marksman among his teammates was Captain George Grumshaw, with 11 tallies.
