Quintets from five Houses and Dudley officially opened the intramural league race yesterday on the Indoor Athletic Building courts in a series of afternoon and evening contests.

Dunster House, coached by Saul Marlaschin, toppied Lowell as Dick Brunsman headed the attack with 12 counters. Dave Cameron racked up 11 markers to spark Leverett to a 29 to 14 triumph over Eliot while Dudley conquered Winthrop 38 to 28.

Although the Kirkland game with Adams was postponed, these Houses along with the remainder of the league will see action next Monday.
