Forum Series Tonight Features Sorokin on Social Decay of West

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the fourth Harvard Forum of the year, a trio which includes a sociologist, a philosopher, and a former Labor Member of Parliament will discuss the degeneration of western society and culture this evening at 8 o'clock in Emerson D.

Speaking on a subject announced as "Are We Going to the Dogs?" will be: Pitrim A. Sorokin, professor of Sociology; Wilfred Wellock, Labor Member of Parliament, 1927-31; and Henry D. Aiken, associate professor of Philosophy. As usual a discussion period will follow the speeches, with questions from the floor.

Professor Sorokin, who has written several books on Russia and has a doctorate in Sociology from the University of Petersburg, was banished from that country in 1922 and condemned to death if he returned.

Wellock, who is here from England on a nation-wide speaking tour, has lived in India, and while in Parliament was a member of the Select Committee for the Government of East Africa. He is the author of "Mechanistic or Human Society," "Which Way Britain?," and other books.
