‘The Architect of the Whole Plan’: Harvard Law Graduate Ken Chesebro’s Path to Jan. 6
In response to a rising volume of ticket demands, the Crimson basketball squad will play at least six of its 1946-47 games at the Boston Garden and Boston Arena, Carroll F. Gotchell of the Harvard Athletic Association announced yesterday.
Three main factors influenced the decision, said Getchell. Besides the obvious lack of space at the Indoor Athletic Building, there is also the probability of increased basketball following next year as Harvard rejoins, the Ivy League basketball competition; and finally there is the desire of the physical Education Department officials to have all Athletic Building courts open for intramural competition.
This action does not constitute a precedent, as the hockey team has played many games at the Arena, and the basketball team played there against Yale this past season.
Reduced Ratos to Students
Although the games to be played in Boston have not been announced, Getchell declared that for these contests, as for the Yale game this winter, reduced-rate tickets will be on sale to students at the H.A.A. office.
