Veterans to Receive Medical Aid From Hygiene Department

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Veterans attending the University under provisions of the Rehabilitation Bill may now receive complete medical attention through the Hygiene Department, rather than waiting for accommodations at the West Roxbury veterans hospital, James O'Donoghue, Veterans Administration training officer, said yesterday in Weld Hall.

Treatment by University doctors or, if necessary, in one of the local hospitals associated with the Medical School has been made possible in accordance with a contract recently signed by the University and the Veterans Administration.

"The veteran can now avoid prolonged absence from classes when hospitalization or extensive medical treatment is required," O'Donoghue said.
