Winthrop Defeats Leverett 10-7 To Win First Baseball Victory

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With both houses fielding a complete nine-man ball team apiece, Winthrop, yesterday afternoon, pitched and hit its way to a 10 to 7 victory over Leverett. Thus the Puritans chalked up their first win after playing two scheduled games. They lost to Dudley Friday.

Yesterday's game marked the Bunnies' first defeat on the hardball diamond. Their first success was made last week when they defeated Lowell 13 to 3.

The softball game scheduled for yesterday between Dudley and Adams was cancelled due to insufficient players. Winthrop and Dunster will face each other on the softball field this afternoon. Leverett and Adams will play tomorrow.
