Hanford Lauds Issue Of Confidential Guide

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"In my opinion it is clearly one of the best 'Guides' I have ever seen, if not the best." That was how Dean Hanford described the CRIMSON'S first postwar Confidential Guide to Freshman Courses, currently on sale at 14 Plympton Street.

In a letter to J. Anthony Lewis '48, Executive Editor of the CRIMSON and editor of the Guide, the Dean of the College went on, "I refer especially to the advice in the general introductory matter and the analysis of the courses. The Guide should be a great help to Freshmen. I shall take occasion to refer to it in my talks to the new men."

Sales of the 48-page booklet indicate strong interest in the evaluation of examinations, lecturers, and especially section men by students new to the University who have never before seen this traditional, pre-war CRIMSON service. All data on courses is based on a poll taken last spring of all undergraduates enrolled in Freshman courses.

The Guide sells for 25 cents.
