Casting for Henrik Ibsen's play "An Enemy of the People," which has been chosen by the Harvard Dramatic Club for its fall production, will begin at Big Tree tomorrow from 2 to 5 o'clock and from 7 to 10:30 o'clock, HDC President Ted Allegretti '47 said yesterday.
With the opening date tentatively set for November 3, first assignments were also announced. Allegretti will be director, while David Self '48 will act as managerial coordinator, handling problems of production, publicity and business.
According to Allegretti, the HDC selected "An Enemy of the People" in order to give "the student body a chance to see a play representing the drama of Northern Europe, and a play not seen recently on the professional stage. We feel that 'An Enemy of the People' meets both requirements."
Interviewing for place on the technical staff will begin next week, after casting for the acting parts has been completed. The time and place for that session will be announced sometime before the end of the week.
