Depleted Harriers Race Boston U. And Rhode Island at Franklin Park

For one dollar, you can see Flicka, Smoky, and Thunderhead at the Boston Garden this afternoon. For free, over at Franklin Park, where lire Varsity cross country team matches strides with Rhode Island State and B. U., you can see Bob Black, Manuel Caetano and half a dozen other R. I. S. Rams who have been known to run much faster than the above-listed nags.

Starting time for the Varsity event is 3:45 o' clock. The Freshman will race their B. U. and Rhode Island counterparts in a preliminary contest.

Coach Mikkola has been losing so many men lately that he took a fatalistic attitude yesterday when he learned that his number one harrier, Vince Moriarty, is through running for Harvard. Moriarty has been informed that he will have to graduate in February.

Black No Black Ram

With Vince out, the Crimson leaders today will be Captain Huna Rosenfeld, John Cogan, Bill Baker, Charley Worth, and Arden Albee. Last week, at Franklin Park, the Varsity trailed M. I. T. 61 to 15. Holy Cross was third with 66 points.

Rhode Island defeated traditionally potent Fordham last week and is pointing for the IC4A team championship. Spidery Bob Black, the star of the squad, is the IC4A champion. Less is known about B. U., but the Terrier Freshman team is well-padded with New England and New York schoolboy track accs.
