All-Night Parking Plan Approved by Cambridge Police

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A Student Council plan to permit night-time parking in the Kirkland-Winthrop-Eliot triangle has received approval from the Cambridge police.

Charles R. Brynteson '50, co-chairman of the Council Student Welfare Committee, said yesterday that police had passed the plan as far as fire safety was concerned. Engines can get through the street in the daytime when cars are parked there, so they saw no reason why they could not do so at night.

University Property

Since the street is University property, the final decision on the plan will have to come from Vice-President Reynolds, who is now out of town.

The plan was advanced by the Council at its Monday meeting. Brynteson predicted approval last night, asserting that he could see "no objection to the request."
