Acute appendicitis scratched one of Radcliffe's nine entries in the Signature - Bonwit - Teller fashion show Thursday night, four hours after she had passed the board of model judges.

Mary Frances Blakeslee '52 was rushed to Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge at 7 p.m. that evening. Hospital authorities reported last night that Miss Blakeslee was "resting comfortably," minus her appendix. She will not appear in the show, which is scheduled to take place on November 12.
