Middle Thayer in '52 Football Lead

Thayer "Middle" of the Yard American League stretched its winning streak to four games yesterday by edging out Matthews "South," 12 to 6.

South opened the scoring early in the first quarter on a 20-yard end run by Francis Collins. Thayer retaliated in the second stanza on a pass from Jeremiah Smith to Gerald Murphy.

In the other American League contest, Stoughton downed Mower, 6 to 0. Edward Maroni passed to Jeremiah O'Leary for the tally.
