Mikkola Unit Well-Stocked With Dashers

Jaakko Mikkola's sprinters are in for a long afternoon at the Stadium tomorrow against Boston College. They will be watched more carefully, perhaps, than anybody else. The reason is simple.

Last spring, the 100 and 220 were two of the weakest spots in the team's armor. But this year, Mikkola has a plethora of good dashmen. They will all run the 100 and 220 tomorrow afternoon, and since Boston College has some strong sprinters, the 100 and 220 will be run off in heats.

Can Spivak go 220 Yards under full sail? That will be one of the big questions which may be answered tomorrow. He did well indoors this winter and like the rest of the current crop of dashmen, he has been loafing through 23-second 220's this week.
