Four Faculty Members Get Appointments

Four Faculty appointments were announced yesterday. The appointees are Professors jean-Joseph Seznec, Eugene M. Landis, Gordon W. Allport '19, and Associate Professor Francis M. Rogers.

Professor Soznec has been appointed Chairman of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. The former chairman, Associate Professor Rogers, has replaced Professor Payson S. Wild, Jr. as Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Professor Landis is the new Chairman of the Division of Medical Sciences. He replaces Professor Edwin J. Cohn, who is now a University Professor.

Professor Talcott Parsons, Chairman of the Department of Social Relations, has been relieved of his administrative duties this fall to conduct research. Professor Allport replaces him as temporary chairman of the Department.
