Gov't Test Offers Jobs for Seniors

The Junior Assistant program of the U. S. Civil Service will again be open to seniors graduating in June and center plating a career in government work the Office of Student Placement announced yesterday.

Final date for applications for the qualifying examination, to be given at over the country in December or January is Tuesday, November 8. Applications must be received by that date at the Civil Service Office in Boston.

All of the Junior Assistant jobs start at a salary of $2,974 a year, with the usual Civil Service promotions and benefits. The jobs include work is almost every field, from astronomy and forestry to social science analysis and legal assistance.
