Gov Tutors Help Non-Honors Men Toward Generals

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Non-honors Government concentrators will get assistance in preparing for their general examinations this year for the first time since the installation of tutorial, Professor Alfred C. Hanford announced yesterday.

The program, which will be carried out by House tutors except in the case of non-residents, is intended to "supplement" the regular departmental advisory system, Hanford said. Hanford is professor of Government and chairman of the government tutors.

Meetings Soon

Hanford said House tutors will be in the near future hand out suggested reading lists to non-honors candidates and will explain the purpose of general examinations to them. For non-House residents, a meeting will be called in Littauer at 4 p.m. next Tuesday.

Although Hanford termed the possibility of continued conferences "unlikely," he suggested that questions on the reading could be answered by the student's regular adviser.
