DiBlasio's Return Bolsters Crimson

Yesterday's regular Wednesday scrimmage featured the return of end Bob DiBlasio and the appearance of Pete Leavitt at starting defensive right end.

Other changers, which are not necessarily permanent, included Dick Guiders, who ran from the injured Chief Hender's defensive left guard position, and Paul O'Brien as defensive linebacker, a position which he first tried in last Saturday's game.

'53 Apes Brown

The squad worked out in offensive and defensive units, with the jayvees defending the running attack. The freshmen operated from Brown's wing T attack for the benefit of the defensive unit.

The scrimmage lasted less than an hour, with no man getting more than 20 minutes' worth of contact. It was preceded by dummy work and signal drill. The team ended with wind sprints before going in.

Aside from the changes listed above, the offensive and defensive teams lined up as usual, with Davis and Wilson at the defensive tackles, Mazzone at left end, and Butler at right tackle.

Mazzone, Wilson, and Butler also worked offensively, with Houston, Coas, O'Brien, and DiBlasio filling out the line. Phil Isenberg worked behind Bill Henry at quarterback. Hugh Edmonds was not at practice.
