During the past few days, painters have been working in the second floor Common Rooms, and progress indicates that maintenance men will soon be able to squeeze in the four or five tables.

These changes are the first of a general plan to make the Union a more pleasant social center. When the Government I and Economics I reserved reading material was moved to Lamont Library three weeks ago, the problem of what to do with the Union library came up.
Most books have now disappeared from the reading room, but shelves will be removed later.
