William L. Ransom, New York expert on international law, died of a heart attack Saturday while attending a conference at the Law School. He was 65 years old.
The New York attorney was one of 50 prominent lawyers present at a session concerning "Harvard Research in International Law." A University official stated last night that the meetings would continue despite his death.
Ransom served as president of the American Bar Association in 1935-36 and was adviser to the United States representative to the permanent UN Court of International Justice at the San Francisco Conference.
