Metropolitan League Class "A" competition ended yesterday for the varsity squash team when it lost to the Union Boat Club 5 to 0.
Led by former Crimson player Sandy Parker, the Union team won all the sets to become 1949 Class "A" champion of the league.
U.B.C. Simply Too Strong
But the Crimson, facing top notch competition, didn't fall down completely. Number three man Henry Foster played his best game yesterday, and although the varsity lost, it was not because of bad playing. The Union Boat Club just had too much strength for the Crimson.
Next Saturday Coach jack Barnaby's squad, undefeated in intercollegiate competition, plays host at Homenway Gymnasium to a strong team from West Point, Army's strength will be centered in its No.1 player Charley Oliver. Back in December he placed second in a collegiate players.
