Freshman Sextet Improves Games, Scuttles BC, 5-3

Two practice sessions made all the difference to the rusty freshman hockey squad yesterday afternoon. They beat a supposedly tough Boston College team 5 to 3 at the Arena.

Just as in the first Boston University game, the expectedly tough game didn't fully materialize. Yet the Crimson's playing, in Coach Stan Priddy's eyes, showed considerable improvement over Saturday's performance in the second BU game. Goalie Ted Cook was the game's standout player, recording 30 saves while tending the goal for the entire three periods.

Pete Lawson's great work as second line center was so superior to his previous work that wingmen Morgan Hatch and Ned Harris were able to score two goals. The first line also shock off their rust and during the last half of the game kept the puck between themselves in the attack zone.
