Minus the services of Jerry Murphy, sharp-shooting first string forward, the freshman basketball team will face Boston College at 3 p.m. today in the Indoor Athletic Building. B.C. will be the toughest opposition Lloyd Harper's men have had to cope with since they played Holy Cross on December 6.
Next to Holy Cross, the B.C. freshmen are the best in New England. They lost their first encounter with H.C. in an overtime period and dropped their second game with the Crusaders by a mere three points whereas the Crimson lost to the same team, 68 to 34.
Murphy Leaves Hospital
Murphy suffered an eye injury Monday while playing squash. He was released from the Massachusetts General Hospital yesterday but was warned to stay away from contact sports such as basketball for some time lest he harm his eye permanently. There is a remote possibility that he will play in the Yale game.
Al Switzer will probably fill the hole in the lineup left by Murphy.
