Trimble Injures Arm Again, May Not Throw Javelin This Season

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Don Trimble, who broke the Harvard javelin record two years ago, may not be able to throw this spring. Trimble aggravated an old elbow injury in practice and unless the injury mends, he will probably confine himself to the shot put this spring.

The Injury

The trouble started last year when the 1947 IC4-A javelin winner hurt his arm in the Dartmouth meet. That kept him out of the Yale, Hops, and IC4-A meets, and according to track coach Mikkola, prevented him from landing a berth on the U.S. Olympic team. Trimble threw 212 feet as a Freshman two years ago.
