Council Poll Tries Red Book's Fate

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Student Council Committee on the Red Book and Register will release its College-wide poll today, Charles W. Detjen '50 announced last night.

This poll is part of a Council investigation launched last fall to find out if undergraduates think that the two freshman annuals are necessary.

Charge Duplication

Some critics have charged that the Red Book and Register duplicate each other to a great extent. The Red Book Committee seeks a more general expression of feeling on this matter.

Other questions in the poll ask if undergraduates consider the annuals a unifying element and if the books have been useful.

The polls will be circulated in the House dining halls at launch and dinner and results will be incorporated in the Committee's final report which will appear before the year is over.
