Radcliffe will conduct a six week intensive course in "Speed writing and Typing" beginning June 27. The course will be supervised and staffed by the faculty of the Hickox Secretarial School.
Speed writing--with a speed of about 80 to 100 words a minute--replaces the old shorthand system as an alternative for the college student or graduate unable to spend the time necessary in learning the old shorthand system.
Classes will meet daily, except Saturday, from 9 to 3 p.m. in Radcliffe's Long-fellow Hall. Homework will run about two hours per day.
Applications for the Radcliffe Summer Secretarial School will be accepted from a limited number of qualified students and graduates. Those accepted, unless commuters, will live in Cabot Hall.
Tuition charge for the course is $50.
