Annex Votes for Constitution Shift

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Radcliffe's student body this week okayed changes in five articles of the Annex constitution and approved Council revisions in the by-laws providing new voting safeguards for 'Cliffe elections.

Seventy-two percent of the 466 ballots cast were unanimously in favor of all six proposals. The changes automatically make the sophomore member of student government chairman of the electoral committee and reinstitute the pre-war post of sub-treasurer. A more direct method of referendum also won approval.

Fifty negative votes, the largest opposition to any of the individual proposals, were cast against the sophomore member becoming electoral chairman. Only 15 objected to the changes in the by-laws.
