Freshman Nine Entrains for Andover Diamond Tomorrow

Andover will provide the freshman baseball team with a fairly equal rival at 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon at Andover.

This is a fairly rare occurrence for the '52 nine, for in almost all its games to date, it has either slaughtered vastly inferior teams or been hopelessly outclassed.

Captain Jack Donelan will pitch for the Yardlings in his eighth mound appearance. His record stands at 4-2, with one tie. Donelan is neither very fast nor very tricky, but his control throughout the season has been remarkable.

Tank Walsh, who has led the squad in slugging over the last two weeks, will catch, Win Carduff and Bill Hickey, whose often timely hitting and comparatively reliable fielding have been among the team's greatest assets will be at second and third.

Nat Harris At Left Field

Al Switzer will play first, Henry Young, short, and Ben Akillian, center field. Ralph Robinson has definitely won himself the right field berth. Nat Harris will probably plug up the hole in left field caused by Donelan's pitching assignment.

Andover beat Tilton, 5 to 2, in its last outing on Wednesday. The freshmen recovered from a two-game losing streak the same day, pounding Leicester, 22 to 1.
