College Registers 3,670; Absentees Not Yet Totaled

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

By closing time yesterday afternoon 3670 upperclassmen had filed their way through registration at Memorial Hall, bringing the current total number of students in the College to 4,963, Registrar Sargeant Kennedy '28, announced last night. Exact figures are not yet available, but Kennedy estimated last night that late registrations will run to about 25 or 30.

Signing continues until noon today at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. No partial tabulation was made yesterday.

From Memorial Hall the big nine-part cards which College upperclassmen filled out yesterday will go to the University Printing Office where, joined with those from all parts of the University, they will be alphabetized, cut into sections, and sent to the proper departments. This should take about 36 hours, Kennedy said.

No jam-ups or long waits marred College registration yesterday, but members of the football team fared even better than the average upperclassman. The entire team registered during the mid-day break, thus making all players free for the afternoon practice.
