Too many business managements are unwittingly taking an active part in the drift toward the "welfare state," Dean Donald K. David of the School of Business Administration said yesterday in the January issue of the Harvard Business Review. "Featherbedding" of capital, avoidance of risk taking, running to government cover when expedient, and restrictive trade practices are among the danger signs mentioned in "The Danger of Drifting."
