HAA Reveals Lag In Ticket Buying For Cornell Game

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Less than 2,000 student tickets for the Cornell game--fewer than last year for the similar period--were sold Monday and yesterday, according to Frank O. Lunden, head of the H.A.A. ticket office.

Since so few seats were purchased by juniors and seniors, sophomores who apply this morning will get tickets beginning on the 25 yard line between 15 and 20 rows up from the field. After the Section 35 seats are sold, men from the Class of '53 will get seats in Section 36, starting up from the bottom.

Freshmen on Thursday

Tickets will be sold to freshmen and graduate students on Thursday.

Lunden reported that some 3,000 student tickets had been sold for the Columbia game this Saturday. He added that the ticket office will not be able to estimate until the Army game seats have been placed on sale next week, how the ticket sales over the whole season will compare to last year.

Fear was expressed last fall that the football team's poor record would reduce ticket sales.
