Council Delays Action Against Night Parking

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Cambridge City Council yesterday directed John R. King, Chief of Police, to discontinue his drive on all-night parkers until the Council conferred on the matter with King and the City Manager, John B. Atkinson. The order, requested by Councillor Thomas MacNamara, was referred for action to the Committee on Roads and Bridges.

Last week, King alerted his entire force for the annual winter campaign against cars on streets between 2 and 6 a.m. Action on the new Council order, however, probably will not take place until next week.
