Moors Adds to Annex Lore in First Season

Completion of Moors Hall marked a high point on the Radcliffe fall term calendar. Fire, which broke out the week before school opened, postponed formal opening ceremonies until workmen could repair extensive damages to the first floor wing of the hall. Since all damages were confined to the first floor, however, the 103 residents moved into upstairs rooms on schedule.

The formal opening of the now dormitory, the gift of Boston broker John Farwell Moors '83, took place December 11 in a ceremony also honoring the donor's 50 years as a Radcliffe trustee.

During the first part of the term girls went to meals at the call of a cowbell and received callers in the basement bicycle room. The damaged area was ready for use by Thanksgiving.
