Appearing on three different fronts this evening, the debate team will touch on the subject of Communists in the United States from two different angles.
At Columbia, Melvin L. Zurier '50 and A. Werner Pleus '51 will argue the negative: "Resolved. That Communists should not be permitted to teach in American colleges and universities."
In a home and away series with Boston College the debaters will argue the topic: "Resolved, That the Communist party should be outlawed in the United States. Melvin C. Shefftz '51 and Julius Adler '52 will take the negative in the Kirkland House Senior Common Room at 8:15 p.m. while Walter C. Carrington '52 and Lester L. Ward '52 argue the affirmative at Boston College.
