The nine University organizations which circulated the petition urging revision of the NROTC loyalty certificate will fight against "remaining objectionable clauses" in the certificate despite the Navy's elimination of the "informer clause" Wednesday.
In a statement issued yesterday, the committee representing the nine groups said it would see President Conant to ask University support for the removal of the clauses requiring trainees to report informal associations with subversive organizations.
The nine groups protesting are the Graduate Student Council, Liberal Union, Young Republicans, Young Progressives, John Reed Club, University American Veterans Committee chapter, Teachers Union, National Lawyers Guild, and United World Federalists.
