The varsity rifle team closed its season on Saturday by taking second place in a shoulder-to-shoulder match with MIT and Columbia at the Fargo Building in Boston.
MIT won with a score of 1394. Harvard and Columbia tied with 1330 each. However, the judges awarded second place to Harvard because the team scored 396 points in standing position, three points more than Columbia's standing score.
Individual Harvard scores were: Roy Elfast, 275; Glen Reem, 271; Hale Knight, 265, Paul Shuttleworth, 202; and Bill Lindamood, 257.
