ADA Members Go To Capital Parley

Five members of the Liberal Union head for Washington and the annual Americans for Democratic Action convention today. Donald W. Dowd '51, national vice-chairman of the student section of the ADA, and HLU president, will head the Crimson delegation during three days of lectures and discussions.

Donald T. Fox '51, Robert A. Levine '50, Richard K. Rerg '51, and Charles W. Chastain '52 are the other representatives. Fox is also a member of the SDA national executive board.

The delegation will advocate five major policies at the convention: civilian administration of occupied areas in Japan; removal of loyalty checks on National Science Foundation scholarship holders; passage of the Lodge-Gossett Amendment; establishment of Columbia, Missouri, and Connecticut River Valley projects; and opposition to the Mundt-Nixon Bill.
