All listening rooms in Paine Hall have been closed to students because of "obscenities on the walls," Richard F. French '37, assistant professor of Music, revealed last night.
The surprise announcement by the department followed a complete perusal of the student-drawn murals by the new janitor and officials of the department. According to French, the rooms will be closed until the scribblings have been completely eradicated. "It's a form of punishment," French said.
Section quizzes for Music 1 classes will go on as scheduled this week.
