Dolph Samborski's undefeated freshman baseball team will be looking for its fifth straight win today when it meets BU on Soldiers Field at 3:45 p.m. The Terriers have won two and lost one.
Bob Ward, with a record of two wins and no losses, will start for the Yardlings against BU's speedballing lefthander, Bill O'Donell, who looked impressive winning his lone outing of the season.
Samborski calls the Terriers "the toughest team we have yet faced," but plans to stick to his usual lineup. He has been pleased by the recent improvement of his second base combination of John Canepa and Walt Greeley.
BU coach Harry Cleverly will start a good fielding team behind O'Donell, sparked by rangy Jim Montgomery at short and Bill Piper, strong-throwing centerfielder.
Cleverly concedes that the Terrier hitting has also been good. Cleanup batter Gone Subrisi has been knocking in most of the runs for BU, while the speedy Piper is a threat on the bases.
Even who they lose, the Terriers hit hard. Their only defeat of the season came in a 12 to 11 slugfest with Northeastern.
