Godin Will Try for First Win as Varsity Goes to Nickerson Field as Favorites

Ira Godin will be looking for his first win of the season this afternoon when the baseball team travels to Nickerson Field to meet Boston University. Game time is 3 p.m.

Godin has had only one start this year, against Boston College on a cold and windy Patriot's Day. Although he struck out eight men, he had some difficulty getting the corners, walking four men. Three of the free passes resulted in BC scores.

Stuffy McInnis will probably stick to the same lineup which won against Holy Cross. An injured finger has temporarily sidelined Bernic Akillian, and Charley Walsh has replaced him in right field.

The improved fielding and base running shown in the Holy Cross game will mark the Cantabs as slight favorites. Against the Crusaders the "rookie" infield played faultlessly, while Huntington and While again hit safely.

The shift which changed Foynes to center and Moffie to left will probably stay in effect until Mofflie's football injury is completely healed.

Boston University has played four games this season, winning two against M.I.T. and Rhode Island while losing to Northeastern and Dartmouth. Against the Indians on Saturday BU was allowed only six hits, two of which were gotten by Dick Mills, captain and first baseman. HARVARD  BOSTON UNIV.
