Sam Felton, former Harvard track star, won the Metropolitan A.A.U. 16-pound hammer throw in New York Saturday for the third year with a heave of a near record 181 feet, 3 1-8 inches. Felton tied for second in the discus throw with 157.4.

Yale's Jim Fuchs broke the meet mark for the shot put with a 57-foot, 3 3-4 inch effort.
