Fire of undetermined origin swept Emerson Hall B last night causing extensive damage to a wall, furniture, books, rug, and an oil painting. Fire officials said that the painting was "valuable" and damage to it was "serious." Cause was due to a frayed elec-lamp cord. --from the CRIMSON, January 9
