Squash Men Rout Cadets, Wesleyan For Six Straight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity squash team stretched its undefeated streak to six by routing Wesleyan, 8 to 1, and Army, 9 to 1, Friday and Saturday in Hemenway Gym. The freshmen also extended their string of successes by blanking the Wesleyan yearlings, 9 to 0, on the home courts Friday and winning at Exeter, 5 to 0, on Saturday.

The varsity again displayed strength and depth as it trounced the Cadots, losing only one individual match against a team which Coach Jack Barnaby described as "strong all the way through."

Captain Henry Foster led the Crimson to its victory John Wesleyan on Friday as he blanked John Hentz, 2 to 0. Hentz, Wesleyan's top man, exhibited slightly better strokes than Foster, but the Crimson captain's brilliant strategy won the match. The varsity has now won 51 individual matches and lost only three in its six intercollegiate matches this season.

Yardlings Also Win

The freshman team also improved its impressive record over the weekend, winning both its contests without losing a match and dropping only one game. The Yard team has now won 32 of 33 individual matches in interscholastic and intercollegiate competition.
