Six Law Schools Form Committee To Look into State District Courts

The Law School and five other law schools announced yesterday that a committee has been formed to survey the district courts of the state. Livingston Hall, vice dean of the School, will head the committee.

Through the survey, which will be directed by Lawrence B Urbano, a Law School graduate, the state legislature seeks to gain current information on the condition of the district courts.

Although there have been few demands for any revision of court policies or personnel, several committees appointed by the state have conducted similar surveys in past years and suggested improvements. The legislature has not acted on any of the state surveys.

The new committee has begun to make a study of earlier state committee reports, and will conclude a study of these reports before collecting material of its own.
